WELL, I WANT TO BE LIKE JESUS....BUT HOW?

A malleable substance shaped in a particular way for a period of time, takes on the shape of that applying the impression.

Now, ponder the following rather deep sentence and catch its meaning. Our youths' well-being is at stake. Here it is: "If only the sun-drenched celebrities are being noticed and worshiped, then our children are going to have a tough time seeing value in the shadows, where the thinkers, probers and scientists are keeping society together." And, where the Christian teachers are?

They and all of us need to see Jesus. Youth need to see Him in mature believers. And, most importantly, they must gaze upon Him in the Bible. Hence the incalulable value of home induced devotions with the kids, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and the frequent reading of the Bible. WORD OF LIFE has programs facilitating this for the youngsters. Check it out and guide your children to disciplined time in the Word.

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit" (2 Corinthians 3:18). It's not magic. It's the powerful work of the Holy Spirit that transforms us (like an earthbound caterpillar into a beatiful heavenward butterfly) via Scripture into Jesus' likeness. It's mysterious but real!
