DEATH…A FOREGONE CONCLUSION BUT THERE
IS ANOTHER POSSIBLE CLOSURE…
Death is the most certain fact of life. We are not here to stay; we are
here to go. It has been said that all the world is a hospital and every person
in it a terminal patient.
The Bible states simply but poignantly that “it is appointed for men to
die once and after this comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
But it also says that Jesus Christ has conquered sin, death and hell for
all who will trust in Him as personal Lord and Savior. Death may be the king of
terrors but Jesus Christ is the King of kings.
Jesus died for our sins! He bore our sins and paid for them in full. Then,
triumphantly, He arose three days later. Hallelujah! Jesus Himself declared, “I
am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he
dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.
Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26). He also said, “Do not be afraid; I am
the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and
behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades” (Revelation
1:17-18).
Believe in Him at once! He says in the above verse “everyone who lives
and believes in Me will never die.” Take Him at His word. Believe in Him as
your personal Savior from sin and death. When death strikes the Christian down,
he falls into heaven.
