IN JUST TWO DAYS, TOMORROW WILL BE YESTERDAY. "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is" (Ephesians 5:15-17).
The world talks about spending time; the Bible admonishes Christians to make the best use of it. To “redeem” the time is to buy it or free it up for the glory of God. Tomorrow is a post-dated cheque. Today is cash! Spend it wisely; spend it now! We must count our time more precious than gold.
Thomas Edison remarked: Time is not a commodity that can be stored for future use. It must be invested hour by hour, or else it will be gone forever. Good words to mull!
We can pray about discipline in the use of time. The Psalmist did: “So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom” (Psalms 90:12).
