O BE CAREFUL LITTLE TONGUE WHAT YOU SAY...

THINK/SMILE AWHILE..... WHAT I say and HOW I say it matter a great deal. Scripture gives us many guidelines for this: "But now you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth" (Col.  3:8). And: "Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person" (Col.  4:6). Memorize these verses! We all need them given the vile times in which we find ourselves.

My mother  now and then threatened to wash my mouth out with soap! I can't remember that she ever did, although she also never heard some of my 'beneath-the-breath' mutterings, nor those outside her range of hearing. Had she, she would have many times. But our God cleans the heart, which is far better and many a destitute sinner has had his or her speech completely changed and purified by the saving and sanctifying Savior.

Pray this: "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer" (Pslam 19:14). Be sincere with this prayer and then be ready! God can do wonders and in powerful ways!
